During the School Holidays we run our Holiday Club, and use Stonelaw Parish Church as a base. We open our doors at 8am, provide the children with a balanced breakfast before setting off on different adventures each day. We challenge you to find a Holiday Club with a more diverse and engaging programme.
During the holidays, our holiday club venture to the great outdoors. The children absolutely love going out and playing in the woods. As a team, we support children to enjoy and appreciate the natural environment. On a typical day, we equip ourselves with our outdoor kit. Equipment such as: tent (for play or rest), ropes to make swings / rope bridges, hammock (for lazying about) and water. We use woodland areas that are near public facilities. Over the years we have gone to the beach, Laser Tag, Bowling, Craig Tara, Millport, Five Sisters Zoo, Edinburgh and Rothesay. Recently, in line with Scottish Government policies such as Developing the Young Workforce, we have introduced workshops which we run from within the Church. These include Soap Box Racers, Wood-shop and Pasta making.
